And Furthermore ...
Because Canadians are occasionally embarrassed by our ability to influence ... one another, election results won't be available until 7:00 p.m. PT, (that's 10:00 ET for those of you with math issues), because that's when the polls close Out West. We wouldn't want those impressionable Westerners to be influenced by the voters in Ontario and Quebec ... never mind that it's all over by the time the polls close in Kenora ... (see here if you're not familiar with the parlimentary system).

I notice that the link to the Google map of the West includes Toronto on its Eastern edge. Don't think for a minute that people from Ontario will be welcomed with open arms into the Reform minority caucus. *wink*
Yes, it seems silly that election results are blocked. But are they blocked for you, seeing as you are outside the country?

Purely a function of the inability of Google maps to fit all of BC and Alberta into one screen - our sprawly provinces are just too damn big if you're used to tweeny bitsy states. Wait, there are minorities in the Reform caucus? Since when?
Results may not be /blocked/, per se, but do you really think US news will be covering it?
