When you think about it, it's amazing it lasted as long as it did after Aaron Sorkin and Thomas Schlamme departed. I will so miss watching CJ and Josh every week, and it's too bad that Jimmy Smits & Alan Alda won't be able to really flesh out their roles. But all good things ...

Picture it, a slightly chilly morning on the African savannah, looking out over the rim of the coulee the sun just peeks out over the horizon, warm, glowing. Through the mist, a silhouette in the distance, just forming, tugs your breath right out of your chest. As it comes into focus, you know it is she. Beautiful, of course. Brilliant, to be sure. Poised, needless to say. And very, very well-dressed. You are in the fabulous girl's world, now.

Don't know if you watched the Colbert Report last night but in the interview towards the end of the show, he mentioned that the West Wing was going off the air and then said something like "Thank God... I mean, isn't that show pretty much just Kerry fan-fiction, the way that those people wish the White House was?"
I thought it was pretty funny.
