This is the internet! It's designed for individuals to whine about total injustices that affect them directly! That's what it's for!!
At a previous job, there was a period of time where I kept getting positive acknowledgements for one thing or another, and they all got posted in the company's weekly newsletter. Eventually the saying around the office became, "Colin, Colin, Colin. It's all about Colin."
Those people had it right. :)
